Tzatziki is an excellent appetizer for summertime. It’s really easy to make with simple ingredients. I love my tzatziki creamy and reach, so my recipe has sour cream, and I like to use Persian cucumber. Persian cucumber has more flavor, and it’s crunchier than the English cucumber. But you can still make with English cucumber if you can’t find Persian.
- In a mixing bowl mix together Greek yogurt, sour cream, Persian cucumber, dill, garlic, salt, and pepper.
- For extra flavor, add olive oil and some coarsely chopped fresh mint.
- Serve with freshly toasted pita wedges. Brush a pita with some olive oil and sprinkle za'atar on top. Bake in the oven until crispy and serve.
