Classic Chili

The Best Classic Chili. This traditional chili recipe it's my mom's recipe with ground beef, beans, and a simple homemade blend of chili seasonings. The Best Chili Recipe is one that is loaded with beef and beans and absolutely full of flavor… just like this one. Also, Chili is hands down one of my husband’s favorite meals. This chili cooks on the stovetop and is perfect served alongside Homemade Cornbread, buttered toast or Buttermilk Biscuits. Add in your favorite toppings like cheese and onions for the perfect meal. Ingredients
  • 1 can pinto beans
  • 1 can crushed tomato
  • 1 can tomato pure
  • 1 can diced tomato
  • 2 bell peppers (seeded and chopped)
  • 2 white onions (chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic (crushed)
  • 1/2 cup parsly (chopped)
  • 2 lb ground beef (substitute 1/2 pound for pork if you like)
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/4 cup butter (unsalted)
  • 1 cup beer
Instructions
  1. In a large pot (I use a dutch oven) melt the butter, add the beef and saute for about 10 min, until thoroughly cooked. Add green bell peppers and saute about 5 min. Add onions, garlic cook, until tender.
  2. Stir in the chili powder, paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  3. Add crushed tomato, tomato sauce, and diced tomatoes and bring it to simmer. Add your beer and simmer covered for 1 hour.
  4. After an hour removes the cover, add parsley, and continue cooking 30 minutes, stirring now and then. add water if needed and skim off fat if needed.
  5. topped with white onions, green onions, cheddar cheese, sour cream, and crackers. Enjoy!
